Terms of service for Pyfib Funding app and pyfib.com

These terms govern your access to and use of our website at https://pyfib.com (the "Site") and the Pyfib Funding mobile application for Android (the "App", package name com.pyfib.grantsfunding). Together we refer to the Site and App as the "Services". Separate written agreements apply when you become a paying client or sign a statement of work.

Acceptance

By using the Services you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

What we provide

Pyfib provides information and tools for African innovators to discover funding and grant opportunities, including:

• Public funding listings, articles, and related content on the Site;
• The App, which lets you browse opportunities, read curated insights, optionally create an account, and optionally receive personalized grant digest notifications;
• Business services described on the Site (for example consulting or software delivery), which are subject to separate agreement when engaged.

Unless we expressly state otherwise in a signed contract, nothing in the Services constitutes a binding offer to deliver a specific product on a fixed timeline or at a fixed price, and listing an opportunity does not mean Pyfib endorses, guarantees, or administers that grant program.

Funding information disclaimer

Grant and funding information is compiled from public and third-party sources for general informational purposes. Deadlines, eligibility, amounts, and application requirements may change without notice. You are responsible for verifying details on the official funder website before applying. Pyfib does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice, and using the Services does not guarantee funding approval or application success.

Accounts and the App

You may browse much of the App without an account. If you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
• Keep your login credentials confidential;
• Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access;
• Accept responsibility for activity under your account except where caused by our failure to maintain reasonable security.

You may sign in with email and password or, where offered, Google Sign-In. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

Push notifications

Personalized grant alerts are optional. If you enable them, you consent to receive push notifications on your device according to your chosen filters and lead time. You can disable alerts in the App or turn off notifications in your device settings at any time. Message frequency depends on matching opportunities and is typically limited (for example one digest per day when eligible grants exist).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or infringes others' rights;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users' accounts, or networks connected to the Services;
• Introduce malware, overload or disrupt the Services, or scrape or automate access in a way that impairs our infrastructure;
• Misrepresent your affiliation with Pyfib, impersonate others, or use our branding in a misleading way;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App except where permitted by law;
• Use the Services to send unsolicited marketing or spam through features we provide.

Intellectual property

The Services, their design, text, graphics, logos, software, and other content are owned by Pyfib or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view content for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use requires our prior written consent. Third-party funders own their program names, logos, and official materials.

Third-party links and services

The Services may link to third-party websites (for example official application pages, WhatsApp, Google Play, or partner sites). We are not responsible for their content or practices; your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms. When you tap "Apply now" or similar links, you leave Pyfib and interact directly with the external site.

Disclaimer

The Services and all content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pyfib Ltd and its directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Services (other than liability that cannot be limited by law) shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty United States dollars, if you have not paid us in that period.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pyfib from claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services, or remove an app account, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, pose a security risk, or where required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time and may request deletion of your app account data as described on our data deletion page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Nairobi, Kenya, shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
