Eligibility
Exceptional candidates will have a good understanding of public policy, strong data analysis skills, project management, and a deep desire to innovate and operationalize programs within the government, non-profit and social enterprise sectors to achieve impact.They recruit a range of different skills – both technical and non-technical – for the program, so they encourage applicants from a wide variety of academic and professional backgrounds to apply. Their typical project types are: Policy, advocacy, and project management; Data analysis and visualizations; and Data engineering and more complex data science work. Application Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and applicants are encouraged to apply early. They expect to interview candidates on a rolling basis starting in March. Most of the Fellows will begin their project engagements between the months of June and November and therefore match meetings with partner organizations will begin 6-8 weeks before the anticipa
Benefits
Fellows will be provided with a living stipend of $47,000 for the year and a separate reimbursable health insurance stipend up to $5,000. This amount is scaled up for placements in cities with a higher cost of living than Chicago. Upon selection for the Applied Data Fellowship, there will be an ADF led matching process. The ADF allows partners to drive the final placement of Fellow(s) on their teams as it facilitates additional buy-in from their organization.
